Unfortunately, we fell short of the required number of participants for the bus trip to Des Moines for the Quilt Show in October. We are cancelling the trip and returning the money to those who have paid. Mary Zagozda and Claudette Lee will be calling (they may have already done so) to let everyone know.

I’m sorry there wasn’t more interest this year, but perhaps it’s time to change things up a bit. We are considering the possibility of a different trip in the Spring. More on that once we have finalized some plans.

On the good-news side, we had an amazing first meeting! So many new and returning faces! We will be having small group volunteers at the membership  table each week to show new and new-ish members around the place and to explain some of what we have going on. Please stop at the table for more info when you come to the next meeting.

I will be asking for the new people to introduce themselves so be ready for that even if this is your second meeting! We’d like to meet as many of you as we can!
