Website
The Omaha Quilters' Guild has had a website since 2002. Our goal is to provide a user-friendly, paperless method of accessing the most up-to-date information about our guild and its activities. The website has been designed to meet the needs of our members and includes not only information about the guild but links to local merchants, online vendors, local shows, and other quilting links. We believe in appreciating the art and craft of quilt-making as much and as frequently as possible! Visit our site to find information on membership to our guild, the monthly meetings, fall and spring retreats, philanthropic activities and our quilt show.
Our page on Facebook was created and is handled by Michelle Craig.
Quick Response Code
This curious symbol is called quick response or qr code. It's sort of like a bar code. If you have a smart phone, you can use the appropriate application to scan it to open our web page.
Redesign
Roberta Willet has done a fine job handing the web page for nearly ten years now, but it takes a lot of her time she would rather spend quilting. Stepping up to take her place is Andy Laugel. He has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska in Omaha's college of Information Technology. To make his job easier and to improve on many technical aspects of the web page, he has rewritten every page on the OQG website. The changes will make it easier to refresh our look, easier to navigate, and more accessible to viewers with special needs.
