Policies
-
There is no
advertising in the newsletter. Quilt related activities of
other guilds and/or related organizations will be listed as
space permits.
-
Members who
wish to bring flyers advertising quilting or other events to
meetings may place their flyers at the membership table (as
space permits). These may not be distributed in the meeting
room, or on the chairs, and must be removed from the membership
table at the end of the evening.
-
No
advertising or announcements of upcoming workshops, events,
sales, etc. may be made from the podium during the meeting,
including during show and tell. The only exception to this
policy is if another guild or nonprofit group is selling raffle
tickets on a quilt, in which case the quilt may be shown during
show and tell, with an announcement that raffle tickets are
available.
-
No
individual or group shall be allowed to sell any merchandise or
services in the confines of the space leased for
meetings/shows/workshops by the OQG during such events. The
only exception to this policy is speakers/teachers who have made
arrangements to have their merchandise available for sale to OQG
members and guests, with the stipulation that they will donate
10% of their proceeds to the OQG.
Quilt

item in the annual OQQG quilt show, you must be a member of the
Omaha Quilter’s Guild by the date quilt entry forms are due.
Full fee membership ($20.00) will be required if you wish to

-

governing judging, country store, and other quilt show policies
shall be at the discretion of the show chairman and her

-
If there is
to be a country store, it will entirely separate from the
guild. No expenses will be charged to the guild. Ten percent
(10%) of all proceeds will be charged for rental space.
Web Page Policy
There is no advertising on the guild website. Links to
quilt-related websites are acceptable and will be placed on the
Links page. A link to the monthly speakers website is
permissible on the Speakers page. Announcements of upcoming
workshops, events, etc. will be placed on the Events page.
Links and Events must be submitted to the webmaster by an Omaha
Quilt Guild member in good standing to be considered for placement.
