Class: Design Extravaganza – Sensational Patterns and How to Draw Them Joen Wolfrom, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Learn how to design some of the most beautiful patterns in the quilt world by using easy drafting methods. Patch-patterns, eight-pointed star designs, mariners’ compass, starburst patterns, and six-pointed star designs will be featured, as time permits. This class is for those who want to learn how to draw their own patterns using centuries-old drafting methods. In a full-day class, we will cover all of the main drafting methods: (1) patch-patterns (4-patch, 9-patch, 5-patch, 7-patch), (2) 8-pointed star designs, (3) 6-pointed star designs, and (4) circular designs. By day’s end, everyone should know how to draft each of these types of patterns and should have had experience working with each of these major categories of designs.
