Everlasting Beauty” has been
busy this month. At the guild meeting I sold 100 tickets.
Cindy Erickson displayed the quilt at the Bernina Store and
sold over $150 tickets. Kathy Havranek and Susie Jarosz
took it to the Heartland Quilter’s Guild in Kansas City and
sold $50 tickets. It is visiting the Log Cabin for the
Nebraska Shop Hop. The first week in May it will travel to
Kanesville Quilting in Council Bluffs, Iowa for First
Saturday. I have two people who would like
to take the quilt to work in May. If you would like to have
the large quilt and stand go to work with you, please let me
know. I can also loan you the “Mini Beauty” to take if you
don’t have a large space to display the quilt at. Please
contact me so that I can get you on the quilt’s social
schedule. The person who sells the most tickets will be
able to take the “Mini Beauty” home from the quilt show with
them.
We still need to sell about 2,500 tickets.
I hope that many members will bring money and purchase a
book of tickets for $10 at the May meeting. We will also be
selling tickets at the quilt show. If you can’t find your
ticket stubs you have until Sunday during the show to drop
them in the box. You know you won’t be able to win, if you
don’t buy tickets.
We use the money we earn from the sales of
the tickets to help fund the speakers and make it possible
to offer educational opportunities in the guild.
