Pick up Frames and Set-Up the show - time to be determined at storage and until quilts are hanging.

We will be renting a truck for transporting the frames but will need six or 8 people at storage and twelve - fifteen more people at the
UNO Sports Complex for bringing frames into building and setting them up.  You will be loading the frames into the truck, going to the UNO Sports Complex and unloading them at the door.  Once you are at the UNO Sports Complex, there will be people to help carry them and set them up.  You may also be asked to assist a vendor if they need help, most don’t.  Hanging the quilts is one of the best parts of the show.  Volunteer to hang them, and you get to be among the first to see them.

White Glove
Wear white gloves and help with security during the show.  You will walk around and offer to show people the back of quilts and ask them not to touch the quilts.  One person may be assigned to take treats to vendors or to watch a booth so that vendor may have a quick break.

Raffle Quilt and Information Table
We will have the Omaha Quilters’ Guild raffle quilt and the Nebraska State Quilt Guild raffle quilt in the entry so that visitors may have the opportunity to purchase a ticket.  We will also have an information table with information about membership in the guild, and other quilting events in the area.

Demo Area
At the demo area we will need to have several people demonstrating different quilting skills.  This would be a chance to work on one of your projects and then chat with people who are interested and want to know more about what you are doing.

Admission Table and Hostess
Two people will collect money and one person to welcome guests and vendors.  The Hostess is not at admission table, but standing near the doors as people enter the building.

Show Take Down - Quilt Check Out
Sunday June 7, 2009, 4 pm - 6:30 pm

Taking down the show and frames takes much less time then setting it up.  Quilt check out involves helping to take down the quilts from the frames and folding them on the tables so they can be checked out after all of the frames have left the building and are loaded on the trucks. Four people will be at tables taking registration papers and checking quilts off on a master list as quilts leave the area.  Six or 8 people will need to get quilts and give them to owners when they have checked their quilt out.
