Appraisals of quilts will be available at the quilt show, by appointment only. They will be performed by Nancy Kirk of the Kirk Collection. Appointments can be scheduled by phone at 402-551-0386 or 800-398-2542.
Written appraisals are $40. Written appraisals will require a Quilt Inventory Form to be filled out in advance. You need one form per quilt. The written appraisals will be mailed to the owner within two weeks after the show. You can either send the Quilt Inventory Form by e-mail to kirkcoll@aol.com or bring it to the show. Verbal appraisals are $15.
Checks should be made payable to The Kirk Collection. If you want to pay by credit card, you can call Nancy Kirk with the card number.
Guild members that would like a quilt show entry to be appraised will also need to fill out a Quilt Inventory Form (one form per quilt) and submit it to Nancy. It should be marked that it is a quilt show entry. However, you will not need an appointment as Nancy will do the appraisals during the weekend of the show (before actual show hours). You will need to pay in advance, either by check or calling Nancy with your credit card number.
You can download the form at www.kirkcollection.com/quiltinventoryform.html. If the quilt is entered in the show, please include the number you have been assigned. Nancy says it is important to include information on how long you spent making the quilt, the source of the pattern, a little about your experience as a quilter, and previous awards you have won, plus any awards this quilt has won.
